Our team has extensive education and experience in Strength & Conditioning coaching.   This would include Sports Performance Training,  Personal coaching and Exercise Rehabilitation.   We are here to motivate, educate, and empower our clients.   These clients include professional and amateur athletes/teams as well as many “sport active clientele”.

Chris Schwarz, B.Sc. Kin. R.Kin
Founder and Director of Performance

With over 20 years’ experience coaching and rehabilitating elite professional and amateur athletes, Chris is one of the most sought after strength and conditioning coaches in the country.

Highlights of Chris’ experience and education include:

    • Ottawa Senators current NHL head strength and conditioning coach
    • New York Islanders former NHL head strength and conditioning coach
    • Ottawa 67s former head strength and conditioning coach
    • Over 20 years’ training and rehabilitating athletes from the NHL, OHL, NCAA, CFL, CIS, and National Team
    • Over 15 years’ experience working clinically as an exercise therapist
    • Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Dalhousie
    • Registered Kinesiologist and Member of the Ontario Kinesiology Authority (OKA)
    • Former Division 1 Professional Volleyball Player in France and Belgium & CIS Men’s Volleyball ‘All-Canadian’

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and is a registered kinesiologist. He also earned a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services. Since 2011 Rob has been the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach for the Ottawa Senators.  His passion for working with all levels of athletes and enhancing their strength and athleticism is proven in the people he trains and their results.  Rob also has a passion for working with individuals looking to recover from injury or to become their best self.




Jeremy Benoit, B.Sc. (hon) Kin, CSCS

Jeremy attended Laurentian University’s Bachelor of Science – Kinesiology (Hon) program, completing a research thesis in Biomechanics and Injury Prevention. Jeremy is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). He has competed in junior and varsity sports and understands what it takes to play multiple sports at a high level. Jeremy’s passion is sports performance and rehabilitation and the direct relationship between muscle imbalance and its effects on personal performance. Jeremy has experience training and working with doctors, professional athletes (NHL, CFL, NFL, AHL), and university and amateur athletes (CIS, CCHL, PWHL).


Andrea Beausoleil, R. Kin. C Ped (C)

Exercise and Reconditioning Coach

Andrea graduated with Bachelors of Arts – Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She started working in the pedorthic field at the Ottawa Sport and Health Centre as well as working at the Ottawa Sports Performance Centre as a certified strength and conditioning coach. She enjoys using her knowledge and experience from her kinesiology background in her pedorthic work and finds great interest in the link between muscle imbalances, body alignment, and injury. Andrea continues her work as a registered kinesiologist for Fitquest, as well as providing pedorthic services for the Sport Medicine Centre.

Alex graduated with Honours from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). With extensive knowledge and experience working in sport performance and rehabilitation, Alex has had the opportunity to work with amateur athletes (CIS, NCAA, CHL) and professional athletes (NHL, AHL). He has worked with the Volleyball Canada Center of Excellence (Ottawa location), Dalhousie University Men’s Volleyball Team, and is currently the strength and conditioning coach for the Canadian International Hockey Academy. Alex’s passion, knowledge, and attention to detail has helped many athletes build their confidence to reach their goals and be successful in their sport.



Aaron Gartner, B.Sc. (hon), CSCS

Aaron graduated from University of Waterloo’s Bachelor of Science (Hon) program and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He also obtained his corrective exercise specialization through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Among many sports, Aaron played competitive hockey in central Ontario for many years prior to university. Currently, he works with professional and amateur athletes and specializes in sports performance and rehabilitative training methods. He has experience collaborating with doctors, athletic therapists and physiotherapists in order to help all clients reach their training and rehabilitative needs.

Samantha Batchelor, B. Sc. Human Kinetics

Samantha attended the University of Ottawa, graduating with Bachelor of Science (Hon) with specialization in Human Kinetics.  Her course emphasis pertained to exercise physiology, sports performance, and injury prevention. She is currently pursuing her certification to become a registered kinesiologist (R. Kin.) with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO). Samantha has competed in regional volleyball and soccer, and continues to play volleyball at a high level in the Ottawa region. She has had the opportunity to work with athletes and individuals of all levels and ages, and also has experience working with physiotherapists, athletic therapists and doctors. Samantha has a passion for helping those she trains reach their goals and maximize their personal performance, both in and outside of their sport or performance domain.
