What should I bring to my first fitness assessment or functional assessment
?
You should bring loose fitting, comfortable clothing, running or cross training shoes, and water.


I have never worked with a personal trainer or sports performance coach before. What can I expect?
Our trainers are here to guide you and ensure you are making progress and satisfied with your personal training, athletic training and/or exercise rehabilitation.  We will collaborate with you to establish clear goals and objectives before starting any program.


How many times will I need to see a personal trainer or sports performance coach?
We pride ourselves on making sure that you have the best plan of action possible. Nobody is pressured into making a commit they are uncomfortable with. Each of our clients is an individual and each program is customized to their needs. You will collaborate with your personal trainer or sports performance coach to create a plan that suits you.


What is the cost for the various programs and services?
In order to provide fees related to our personal fitness, sports performance training or exercise rehabilitation packages, we need to properly understand exactly what is required for you to reach your goal. I need a training program that I can perform on my own at home or while I travel. Is this possible?
Yes! We offer customized take home personal training programs, take home sports performance programs, and take home exercise rehabilitation programs.


What are the benefits to your various online programs?
Our online programs allow us to design and support any personal fitness, sports performance training, or exercise rehabilitation program that is developed for you. Through our online programs, you have access to your own personal site where you can view video demonstrations of exercises, create journal entries, download printable versions of your program, as well as many other beneficial features. We’ve partnered with Kinduct Technologies to offer you this service.


Do you offer corporate fitness training programs?
Yes! We offer corporate fitness training programs and presentations at your location or one of our three Ottawa-area locations: Kanata, Carleton Place, and Rockland. Contact us today to learn more about this service.


Do you need to be an elite athlete to train at Fitquest?
We provide strength and conditioning training and sports performance training to elite athletes as well as amateur athletes, and non-athletes. We have athletic training programs and personal training programs to suit every age and fitness level.


Does Fitquest offer exercise rehabilitation?
Fitquest offers exercise rehabilitation for athletes and non-athletes alike. We treat a wide range of acute and chronic injuries. Physicians often refer patients to Fitquest for pre- and post-surgery rehabilitation.


Are Fitquest coaches registered Kinesiologists?
Fitquest coaches are registered with The Ontario College Of Kinesiologists.

 

What is Schedulicity?
Schedulicity is an online scheduling system for personal training, team athletic training, and the young athlete development program. A demo and login information will be provided by Fitquest during your first visit.


What do you mean when you say you use an “evidenced-based” approach to personal training and sports performance training?
We use a systematic approach to training that is supported by current scientific research and reasonable evidence of efficacy.   Our experience allows us to take this information and integrate into a program that makes sense for each group or individual client we work with.
