Founder and Director of Performance

With over 20 years' experience coaching and rehabilitating elite professional and amateur athletes, Chris is one of the most sought after strength and conditioning coaches in the country.

Rob Mouland, B.Sc. Kin, R.Kin

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and is a registered kinesiologist. He also earned a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services. Since 2011 Rob has been the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach for the Ottawa Senators.  His passion for working with all levels of athletes and enhancing their strength and athleticism is proven in the people he trains and their results.  Rob also has a passion for working with individuals looking to recover from injury or to become their best self.

Aaron Gartner, B.Sc. (hon), CSCS

Aaron graduated from University of Waterloo's Bachelor of Science (Hon) program and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He also obtained his corrective exercise specialization through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Among many sports, Aaron played competitive hockey in central Ontario for many years prior to university. Currently, he works with professional and amateur athletes and specializes in sports performance and rehabilitative training methods. He has experience collaborating with doctors, athletic therapists and physiotherapists in order to help all clients reach their training and rehabilitative needs.

Andrea Beausoleil, R. Kin. C Ped (C)

Exercise and Reconditioning Coach

Andrea graduated with Bachelors of Arts – Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She started working in the pedorthic field at the Ottawa Sport and Health Centre as well as working at the Ottawa Sports Performance Centre as a certified strength and conditioning coach. She enjoys using her knowledge and experience from her kinesiology background in her pedorthic work and finds great interest in the link between muscle imbalances, body alignment, and injury. Andrea continues her work as a registered kinesiologist for Fitquest, as well as providing pedorthic services for the Sport Medicine Centre.

Alex Vaduva, B.Sc., CSCS

Alex graduated with Honours from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). With extensive knowledge and experience working in sport performance and rehabilitation, Alex has had the opportunity to work with amateur athletes (CIS, NCAA, CHL) and professional athletes (NHL, AHL). He has worked with the Volleyball Canada Center of Excellence (Ottawa location), Dalhousie University Men’s Volleyball Team, and is currently the strength and conditioning coach for the Canadian International Hockey Academy. Alex’s passion, knowledge, and attention to detail has helped many athletes build their confidence to reach their goals and be successful in their sport.

Samantha Batchelor, B. Sc. Human Kinetics

Sam graduated with Honours from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science, specializing in Human Kinetics. Sam has extensive knowledge and experience working with athletes of all ages, sports, and levels, including the amateur level (CIS, NCAA, OHL, PWHL) and professional level (AHL, NHL), as well as being a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Canadian International Hockey Academy (CIH). Sam is the head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Ottawa Lady Senators of the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). She also has experience working alongside physiotherapists, athletic therapists, and sports medicine doctors. Sam has a passion for teaching her athletes and clients to develop and master their athletic, physical, and mental skills in order to achieve their personal and professional goals. As an athlete herself, Sam takes significant pride in assisting her athletes and clients achieve their optimal performance state.

Evan Swire, B. Sc. Kin

Evan holds his Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University. With a life-long love of sport and fitness, he uses his education and passion to infuse his workouts and training programs with a scientific approach to sports performance training and personal fitness training.  Evan has dedicated the past nine years of his career to coach, educate, and inspire young athletes, helping them improve their health, athleticism, and confidence. He's a master at getting to what motivates people and uses that information to deepen his client's physical literacy and focus.

Ashlen Leonard, BA. Sc.

Registered Dietician

Ashlen is a Registered Dietitian living and working in Ottawa. She graduated from the University of Guelph with honours and distinction in Applied Human Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Ashlen has a thriving passion for healthy living through nutrition and exercise and is a huge advocate for a balanced lifestyle. She enjoys running, soccer, practicing yoga and trying new ways to stay active. In her spare time she loves to cook, bake, explore new places and spend as much time as she can outdoors. She is very eager to help others achieve their nutrition goals!
